Final output resolution

Hello everyone.

Question:

 

What resolution do you set for the final render? End then what resolution do you set after post-production is done and you are sending the file to your client? Do you discuss final image size with the client before you render or they usually don't care about things like that?

It's very important and the client always cares and if you don't discuss it with them they won't care until you submit the image to them, then they will care. It mostly depends on what the client wants to do with the image. A small image on a brochure or a web image won't need to be that big but say a large print ad it will. You always get the desired resolution from the client or at least their intention for the image so you can render it appropriately.
