CEJ1976
Hi, I am currently rendering an animation which I want to render as 2 passes. The first pass will just be an environment panorama that shows a city rendered as scanline, and the second pass will be my base VRAY renders with all the glass turned on also. I will then simply composite the 2 passes as 2 layers in after effects. If i do this, how can i ensure that the glass in my base VRAY renders contributes to the alpha so that i can see through the glass enabling me to see my environment panorama pass? (I dont want to get involved with rendering out seperate alpha channels/masks for the various glass elements though) Does anyone have any tips?? Thanks. Stephen Thomas
Just make sure that in your glass material you check the box that says 'affect shadows' and choose the 'color + alpha' option.
