dimosbarbos
Hello guys, I have live in San Francisco one year and I was in many nice places. I was in Death Valley, Meir woods , Harbin Hot Springs, Sequoia National Forest, Tahoe lake (I really like ski), LA (this is not my city) and in some places in other states. But I like California very strong and I would like to see more. What can you recommend me? For example I am going to visit Big Sur this weekend and maybe someone give me any recommendation about this? Thank you, Dima.
anejo
I would suggest visiting Yosemite National Park. It's about a 4 hour drive from San Francisco. Edited March 15, 2012 by anejo
dimosbarbos
Hi Gilbert, Thank you for answer. Seems like 2 days minimum trip. Maybe you can recommend a hotel near by Yosemite? Thx, D.
anejo
Yes, two days is a good ideal. I would recommend staying in the park. Places to stay. I have two young daughters, so we usually stay at the Tenaya Lodge. Late April or May is the best time to visit. BRING YOUR CAMERA! http://www.anseladams.com/ I'll see you next Friday at the meetup and tell you more about my annual visit to Yosemite.

John Dollus
Northern CA has a lot to offer. There are many small towns up near the state border that have great waterfront areas to explore and nature trails. White water rafting is also an option if you are adventurous. bonniesmith
California is the most wonderful place to travel to. I used to live in Los Angeles when I was a kid but we had to move. Now I really miss Santa Monica beach where we used to play with my childhood friends... ________________________ Free crossword puzzle maker to print

jaymorris
There are the beautiful exotic beaches like Newport, laguna, corona del mar which offer water sports like skin diving, boogie board rentals, water skiing, etc. then there are mountains in california for the rock climbing lovers. trails for long drives, hiking and biking. flower gardens displaying the horticultural activities there. California has great wineries. A sure shot tourist place that's got a wide variety of spas, mall, dining-ins. a must to visit vacation spot for sure:)

Camby1298
Hey Dmitry, If you got the extra time and money I HIGHLY suggest you continue north and hit up Seattle before heading back to Cali. Im pretty certain you would enjoy it up there. B
dimosbarbos
Hi Brian, I thought about that but I will keep Seattle for other time. I going to fly to Seattle and rent a car there and spent there 3-4 days just in the city. Or I will include this city to my big America's road trip. Thx, D.
