New York 3d Studio Max User Group Meeting Friday, March 23, 2012

Come join us for the Friday March 23rd 2012 meeting of the New York City 3ds Max User group. We will be holding our next event on Friday March 23th at (CADA-NYU 11 W. 42nd street 10th floor, Room 1027) at 7:30pm. Our last event was filled to capacity so this time we've secured an even larger space but we still need you to send in an RSVP.

 

**Also all new attendees will be required to fill out our registration survey (see link on top of page) in order to attend.

 

The Highlights of the March 2012 event include:

 

TurboSquid and CheckMate

Michele Bousquet from TurboSquid is coming to present CheckMate, the first universal 3D modeling standard, developed with input from over 1000 working production artists. She'll also talk about how artists around the world make a living selling stock 3D models.

 

Our first Artist Spotlight featuring Todd Daniele.

 

Basics of Retopology with Graphite tools with Todd Daniele

Todd will present his approaches and techniques in using the often misunderstood Graphite tools for retopoing a hard surface as well as an organic character model.

 

Our 1st "2 gets you 100" fundraising raffle for 2 prizes from TurboSquid.

We will be raffling off two $100 SquidBucks prizes with tickets being sold for a mere $2 each.

 

We will hopefully also be announcing the launch of an all new NYC 3ds max User Group website that is planned to go live around the time of this next event. Hope to see you all there.
