I would say keep the comp part in. I personally like our juniors to have nodal based experience and not just 3D heavy scenes.

But push it. Matte in the background , put greenscreen ppl .. make it look real.

 

good start on the render however a lot can be pushed in each scene. Becareful of just loading evermotion stuff in scenes. It really stands out.

I would put more specific emphasis on nicer buildings too .. example , a few exteriors to show your skill set doing exterior scenes. Push your interior scenes better. (learn to use HDRI's for lighting. That will give you a lot more realism in your work)

I will remove the evermotion sofa when I edit the first scene, everything else is my own. I did originally have people in my showreel however the university lecturer's asked me to take them out, I can add those back in again. I am currently making the exterior of the Horta museum and rooms inside. I will also make an exterior that uses the matte painting and green screen people as you mentions before. Thank you for the advice
