chow choppe
Hi everyone. i am trying to learn adding sky in post in after effects for an architectural animation. it came to my knowledge thru a friend that to add it in post max2AE plugin is used and then sky is added in after effects using the trapcode horizon plugin. my animation will consist of a initial aerial shot with horizon visible and then series of eye level shots. i do an animation project once in 2 years or more and everytime i have to learn these new things. so this is part of that learning. can anyone explain to me how this is done or point me to a tutorial for this whole process, first exporting camera from max and then adding sky in AE Thanks
dmv79
I don't have the softwares where I'm at. But the major concern you should have is scale and resolution. You have to know what you are gonna be working with. There is some slots in the plugin while in max (something about scale) that you should actually point out the animation resolution. That's the big thing in there, if I'm not wrong. I remember that I used to create planes in max to have as a "resolution - scale" reference. Anyways, it does a great job. Hope this helps. Trick
If you only have 2 animations a year, why don't you just map a sky to a sphere in Max and render it with your scene or render it seperately and comp it in AE. It's the same principle as with Trapcode Horizon, except for the few hours of rendertime of course !!!
