trhoads
Hello out there, Is there a way to tell AutoCAD, to NOT snap to my hatch patterns? I don't wnat to turn them off, and locking the layer that my hatches are on did not work. Just a question, it has been buggin' me today. I usually put up with it, but wondered... Eric
In my version (2005) it's in Options, under the Drafting tab. There is a checkbox for "Ignore hatch objects". Not sure how long that has been an option.
trhoads
Apparently, not very long, 2004 does not have that. I can not seem to find anything in help, that is why I went here. Thanks for your help anyhow, I will keep that in mind when we make the update.
Onslaught
do you have your OSNAPS on? I'm using 2004 but somehow I don't get this problem.
trhoads
No, I do not use the osnaps. Can't stand them either. I am posting up an image of the problem. I have a hatch pattern, sand, and when i try to move things into the corner endpoint, it wants to snap to the sand particles of the hatch. It selects them over the endpoint of my lines. G
can you not do the obvious and freeze the hatch layer untill your finished your editing? Just a thought. Nice detail on the vanity basin too. we have had some issues with stone tops cracking thru the front rail on sink cupboards and have looked into using steel/aluminium angle similar to your detail G
trhoads
As I mentioned, freezing the layer did not work. In the end, I just have to turn the layer with my hatch patterns off. They are the only thing on the layer, I just prefer to leave it all visible. Oh well. Yes, that detail is to prevent cracking in the front apron, and to keep the top counter from breaking as well. We have a problem with people sitting on them. Go figure.
