aukejajaja
Hi all! I'm having some problems with the shell modifier at the moment. It does not seem to be able to work with complex geometry, while i'm really needing it (or an alternative) to work to get on with my project for uni. Maybe somebody here can help me out or knows a way around this problem? Here is a screen of the model i need to shell. When i shell this, the shell thickness is inconsistant and the surfaces are not even parallel. To overcome this problem i tried to dissconnect all faces and shell them individually, but the problems remained, shell thickness was inconsistant and the new faces were not even created perpendicular from the original face. Anybody here can help me out?
killingjoke
Are the normals pointing in the right direction? It might be that problem, that some normals are pointing inwards and the others outwards..

Peter M. Gruhn
Check the "Straighten Corners" button.
aukejajaja
Thanks! That seemed to have solved most of my problems. Still some sections went a bit weird, but cutting up the model in a couple of sections solved it.
