CEJ1976
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on why and when we should render to fields, and explain a little bit about field orders (odd/even). Cheers.
John Dollus
you only need that with interlaced display devices like older CRT TV's. Most modern equipment is frame based. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlaced_video
Fooch
Prob would never have to do this. Comp software would deinterlace footage these days (check how to do it) so you can cam match stuff.. plus most stuff now is all progressive. Plus i will never interlace from the render.. if there is a need to interlace, do it in post (I doubt you will ever ever need to do it though) Reminds me of the not so good ol days of checking interlace footage by stepping frames.
