I'm using 3ds max with the Maxwell plugin.

I followed the manual and looked in this forum trying to figure out what am i doing wrong, but couldn't find any solution.

I have a small 12 polygon sphere with an IES emmiter assigned to it.

when i render i get pitch black.

I tried to flip the normals of the sphere and to set UV mapping.

Also tried to tweak the intensity and stuff like that with no luck.

with a simple plane it also doesn't produce any light.

the sphere doesn't interpenetrate any geometry.

when I'm changing the IES to one of the presets everything is working just fine.

In the preview and the viewport i can see the IES dispersion of light so i'm guessing there's no problem with the IES itself.

Cant think of anything else to try. any suggestions ?

Thanks
