kirthaymore
Hi everyone, I am having an issue when I render the image. The environment map image is showing black through the windows. There is no geometry for the actual window, just a hole in the wall with framing. I am using a JPEG image and I have adjusted the Output amount and the RGB level. I have also changed the Physical scale to Unitless and played with the value. I have double checked to make sure the box is checked to use the custom background map in the material editor and on the common parameters under Environment. I am at a loss and could use some help here. Any suggestions would be most helpful!
Umesh Raut
There are a few places where you need to check (if changed earlier, especially) if the renderer is set to use the map(s) we want, including the renderer's env map slot (like in vray, etc.). You have to go through all of them and verify everything's set properly. It may seem and sound kiddish, but we tend to overlook too many things under pressure. Starting over afresh, like in a new scene with just a few blocks, and checking to see you get what you want should be a better solution. btw, relevant screen grabs of your mat editor settings and renderer settings should provide the users here better info than the final output. kirthaymore
Thank you for your input Umesh! I will try out your suggestions and provide those screenshots if I am still stuck.
kirthaymore
Thank you Umesh!!! I started over from the beginning; deleted the daylight system, rebuilt and went through the steps again. That worked like a charm. Thanks again for the simple but effective suggestions!
