Devin Johnston
I'm working with one of the Metropoly HD people as well as the e-motion mocap libraries they sell and I'm having a problem. When I apply the mocap data to the model two things happen, first some of the models skin shows through the clothing and second the feet are tilted in an un-natural direction. I know very little about rigging so I don't know how to fix this, can anyone advise me?
Nic H
sounds like a scale problem - are you opening them and inheriting the files units / scale? you should inherit these rather than rescaling. then id apply the BIP data and record to a point cache on which you can apply back to the stripped mesh without bones leaving you free to scale and move the meshes around. Devin Johnston
It's not a scale problem, I asked AXYZ why this was happening and they said not all of their mocap data works perfectly with their models. They recommended I edit the model to correct the problem, since I don't know much about character rigging I haven't tried to fix it but I find it irritating that they won't take the time to fix their own products.
