Professor
Using 3ds Max 2012. After I use Paint Deformation, then the mouse buttons don't work. I see a mouse pointer on the screen and can move around, but can't select anything and right-click doesn't work (i.e. to bring up Quads). Mouse works for selecting menus and using the command panel, just can't select anything on the screen (objects). If I re-open the max file all is fine. Seems like a bug to me. Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? I saw a post on The AREA for same problem back in 2008, but no real solutions were given. Thanks for any input. salvador
I had a similar experience some time ago but I just cannot remember the cause. First I thought it was because I created a plane mesh from an imported spline; then I think it had to do with the graphics driver but honestly I can't recall it. In my case Max froze to death. I had to kill the process and re-start Max. I'll try to recreate the error to see if I can provide more info.
Professor
Thanks for the reply Salvador. I had the same problem when I ran a Quaddro video card (I think an FX 4000), so I don't think it is related to the video driver. Let me know if you find anything else out.
