wizart
Hi, I’m new to 3ds max and i’m trying to model a roller pad but can’t figure out how to do the folds on the side (see attachment)? What would be the easiest way to do this and can it be done with cloth reactor? Can someone help me out? Thank you!

datacrasher
I would use the chamfer- cylinder then use a normal cylinder aign it to the inside of the chamfered one and clone it as a copy hide that copied one then boolean the chamfer pick the first cylinder now you have the hole. now unhide the second cylinder put one height i think on the top turn on edge faces then convert it down to a poly select the top polys then insert them maybe twice. Take the outside choose the edge around the edges chamfer then if you want you can extude them Edited May 16, 2012 by datacrasher
