frankha
Hi, since a day I'm trying to stabilize Maxwell rendering on a 2nd node in the network, but it randomly keeps failing and pulling out error messages : ERROR: PSQ01 has failed while sending/receiving dependencies. Trying to recover.. Sometimes it still renders after the error, sometimes it just stops doing anything or stays in pending mode ... Then sometimes it just renders that frame, without any change of the .mxs file ... same file. Was wondering what the problem may be and how Maxwell is setup for stability ? Who can share ? Regards, Frank Edited May 20, 2012 by frankha
peterwarren
I'm suffering the same agonies. Have tried embedding MXMs and using network drives, but it's still incredibly flaky, failing much more than it's working.
matthewspencer
Yeah, network render is unfortunately still extremely unstable, even if your setup is very consistent and "safe." Try your best to make every node use the same OS. Some quick suggestions: - "Send dependencies" is checked? - Try moving dependencies to a network location - Output all .mxi/.mxs/image files to a network location - Disable firewalls on the failing node - Even if you don't need to output .MXI(s), do it anyway, and delete them later. I have gotten error messages simply because I had disabled MXI output If you're working across multiple OS's, you might be stuck with an unstable setup; that is unfortunately quite common. What is your network render arrangement like?
