archkre
How can I do to set a drawing in ADT 2004-5 to use all the features(walls/doors/windows/etc)with Z=0 I mean to work in 2D like if it was Acad, but with AEC capabilities? (I do not need 3D for many works!) Cheers
Kerry Thompson
Just keep every thing in a plan view and use a medium display representation. The 3D will be there but you generally will not see it. Cheers Kerry
Jason Matthews
Does it make a difference if your units are in decimel rather than architectural? Just wondering.
Kerry Thompson
Should be no difference. Cheers Kerry
STRAT
as Kerry says, just work in 2d plan as per norm. it'll draw in 3d automatically too, but to all intents it'll be 2d for you and will cause you no problems.
archkre
Gentlemen: The real problem is that your file is huuuuge compared to a normal acad one!
STRAT
well thats the nature of ADT2004/5. all those intelligent items like walls, doors, windows etc are all 3d. and a large file size? not really, even in 3d it's more or less smaller than it's r14 equivalent would have been. xgarcia
Strat - are you using ADT now? I thought you were plain autocad fella?
archkre
Years ago I used to work w/ Acad + Arch-t, in which you had the option to choose whether drawing 2D or 3D, and thought ADT could have a similar feature . Cheers
STRAT
Strat - are you using ADT now? I thought you were plain autocad fella? i've been using ADT predomonently since it came out a couple of years ago, only because office pollicy upgraded me. i still model the same as in autocad, and i still use autocad. i dont use ADT's special 'bits'
