Animation won't save to .avi

An animation I am trying to render in Vray won't save properly (as .avi)

 

It comes up with an error message at the end of the first frame.

 

The avi. appears but with no content.

 

Any ideas?

Hi, Are you rendering in multiple machines or only one.

 

the best thing to do is to render the frames to .jpg or .png and put them together in a video editing program after.

 

you have more control in the compressing of the file.

 

i hope this helps.

 

P.d. also rendering the sequence to .avi haves the risk that the rendering fails in the final frame and you lose all the process. the safe thing is to render to frames.
