vbrisebo
Hi, On the render side of things, the driver really has no impact. It's all up to your processors... With 3dsmax 6 there are 2 ways you can optimize for 4 cpu's: 1 - Render using backburner (network rendering) with the "split Scan lines" option when using the Scan Line renderer. For more info on this start 3dsmax, go to Help > User reference > and in the search tab search for "strips". The first topic found should be "Strips Setup Dialog", this explains the procedure... 2 - Render using Mental Ray. 3dsmax 6 comes with a dual CPU local license so if you want to use all 4 cpu's you would have to purchase extra network licenses of Mental Ray. The graphics driver has an impact on the display speed in the application. The rule of thumb with nVidia cards is to always run the latest drivers... Read this document for help on optimal settings: Blatant Logic - Settings - Using D3D display mode in 3dsmax 6 Hope this helps...
