ArchoX
Studio/Institution: PersonalGenre: Industrial InteriorSoftware: 3dsmax, Vray, Magic Bullet Looks, IrfanviewDescription: Hello guys again! This is my latest project, I dont have much time for it, so its pretty easy setup. Easy interior with 3 Areas + Vraysun. There are some problems which I just cant resolve. I dont know how to like create the walls and doors to look real. I know, I can use a texture for the doors, but how to do it, when the doors should be white? Any other suggestion or criticism? Maybe the light is to "burnout" but I think its just a opinion. Thanks. Erik. Picture edited to 30.5 2012. Edited May 30, 2012 by ArchoX
John Dollus
not sure what the point of the scene is supposed to be. If it's to show the door, it's covered by the storage unit and if it's the storage unit, it's cut off by the composition. The vignette that most photographers try to avoid outside of wedding photography is not helping your composition either. I definitely agree about your sun being too blown out as well. AubreyM
Bump, specular and reflection maps plus a good texture will help. I'm not a big fan of the vignette either.
aaronmolina
There's definately some over exposure with the light through the door, and something's bothering me with the perspective. Vignettes good if it's done correcetly, but I don't think it helps this image.
biteny
Nice job so far! Though, the reflection values on your cupboard too high; also, the entire scene seems too clean. There are no smudges anywhere or messes, or even any appliances out to indicate that this room is being used. If you were going for a brand new house, then it's great; otherwise, I think it would benefit from a bit of clutter. _________ rendering 3D
laszloadrian
The wood map on the drawers is too stretched and the forced perspective is too much my opinion. The burnout glass does not bother me. The reflection in the mirror I am not sure if is correct. My opinion.
aaronmolina
just a suggestion, but maybe model a liitle of the room behind the camera and point the mirror a little down. Then you can reflect some of the room.
matthewspencer
One minor comment... I think, by pure coincidence, your wood texture has a detail in it that makes it look warped, even though it's probably not. Specifically, on the top and 3rd drawers, note how the wood grain has a dip in it almost exactly at the area where there's a cutout in the geometry. To me it looks weird; almost like the cutout in the drawer is morphing the wood grain downward. If that's actually what happened...then this is a troubled UVW. Otherwise, I'd probably just offset the tiling of that texture enough a bit. Otherwise I think it's a nice start though I agree about the perspective oddness. Personally don't mind the vignette though...
