tecton3d
I was working from a laptop with an external monitor when I shut down and left backburner monitor open on the 2nd display. Now when I open backburner monitor, it snaps to the other monitor thinking it's still connected and I can't get it back to my laptop display (the only one I'm working from right now... this is maddeningly frustrating! On Windows XP, you could right click on the taskbar program icon, select "move", and sometimes drag it from the digital abyss back to the desktop but I don't know how to do that with Windows 7... thanks and prost! Corey Beaulieu
Try right-clicking on the task bar and hitting cascade windows or one/all of the other options.
Scott Schroeder
Hover over the icon on your task bar until the little preview window shows up, then right-click the preview window (not the icon) and you'll be able to select move from there. Alternatively you can always use your keyboard. Either click on the icon or you can just alt-tab to the window, use Alt+Space, then M, then Arrow key, and then move your mouse.
