It can work nice for product render but for interiors, it can provide unnecessary artifacts that are strongly visible in following: glossy reflections(wood), carpet made from fur, light areas. Ernest Burden III Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 You can paint in sharpening in Photoshop, so it only is on the areas you want it, not the whole picture. You can even do so non-destructively by painting a mask with a soft brush and using that layer mask on a 'sharpen edges' effect. Do the same for a soft blur.
