nickdk
I would like to create reflection based on some images I have from the site location because I don't have time to create the context. How can I use normal .Hdri lighting while reflecting the context? (vray) I have tried to place a .hdr with the context photos in the environment tab but that didn't change the reflections from the current ones from the lighting .hdr file? And is this the best way to produce such reflections?
Corey Beaulieu
I don't believe you want to use an HDRI in your Reflection override. If you are using one for lighting, I think a typical workflow has a Jpeg version of your lighting image in both Reflection and GI override. I could be wrong as I don't use HDRI very often, but this is what I have done in the past. That said. A good way to get a solid reflection is to map a simple box or plane with the image you want reflected and make sure you up the output value on the map itself. Rather than the general override, this gives a directionality to the reflection.
