killingjoke
Hi! I just wanted to know if there's any way to turn a dwg in isometric view to a planar view in autocad. thanks in advance!
Peter M. Gruhn
If I understand the question, you have a 3d object and want to make a 2d drawing of that. FLATTEN will do just that, with or w/o hidden lines. There are a few things to make your life easier. You might want to have your 2d drawing flat on a regular world ucs drawing plane ---------------------------------- Get the view you want. UCS View FLATTEN Select All Edit: Copy (clipboard, not COPY command) Select All delete UCS Global Plan (or View 3d Top) Paste The flattening can make zero length lines not even in the correct plane. You probably don't want these ---------------------------------- Tools: QuickSelect PolyLines (that's what mine were) - Length Equals Zero Delete
Peter M. Gruhn
Just now, I made a quick solid to test with so I could get you a good answer. The conversion made a bunch of arbitrary polylines for my drawing. You maybe want to explode all those.
