jensandersen
Hello (again) So, some how I have rotated my model in a way that is now affecting the front/right/left views. I have tried resetting xform, affecting pivot to fix it, but I cant for the life of me get it to work with the normal views. I need them to do sections and so on in ortho mode. Attached you can see the viewcube is sat to "right" but the building (lots of objects, not a single one) is rotated. I found out how to set current view to a new "front" in the viewcube, but since my building is rotated at an "unknown" angle, I dont know how to setup a perfect ortho view from either side for the reset to work. Hope someone can help me out, cheers! Edited June 10, 2012 by jensandersen
Corey Beaulieu
Draw a box in the Top viewport. Now use the Align by Face Normals tool to align the box to the crooked model. Select everything else in your scene and link it to the box. Hit F12 to show transforms and with the rotate and the box selected, zero all of the rotations out. Delete the box.
