AdamRosauio
What modelling package and work flow are people using to create walk-thru site animations? Look to create ones for town/city site and architectural approvals, mulit-family to large custom homes. Just a little extra background, my current work flow is AutoCAD (not ADT)/ MaxDesign/ Photoshop or CPoint depend if it's a still or animation. Pretty simple really, at this point my animations have been simple 360, but I've been asked to expend to complete site animations and also get "newbees" involved in the process of modelling. Thanks for any feed back you can offer.
Corey Beaulieu
Max works great. And if you render your files in such a way that you aren't matte painting, just color correcting, in post, then Photoshop is a perfectly acceptable comping tool. That said, Max is still great (I'd say the best, however opinions differ) for the actual animation, but After Effects is much more typical for compositing. And it's truly more about your render engine for quality. Vray is one of the best and most common, but Mental Ray is also effective and ships with Max. Chris MacDonald
Max is pretty much built for animations. Perfect tool for the job.
datacrasher
The way i do it is probably the wrong way. I do it by create a lines around the building and inside then use the constraint link then link the camera to the line and hit the play button. once i forget to change my p.view to a camera view
