Corey Beaulieu
Well... to state the obvious: Put a tree outside the window and set the sun angle to cut through it. If you have already tried this, your glass material may be set wrong. Make sure you set the refraction to "all channel" and tick "affect shadows"
kkdark
i tried putting a tree out side but it wouldn't render correctly ..so i started using opacity maps and all that but i guess i messed up on the render settings, thanks i ll try this
kenanavci
The easy way to do this is placing a plane in front of the light source. Then you need to prepare a material for faking it like a tree. Find a cutout tree image, you don't need to use it but they usually ships with alpha channels, so put it on an opacity map and the light source will cast a shadow shaped like a tree. This will reduce your render time dramatically if you're not planning to show an angle that the tree appears in other renders of course. If there's no alpha channel, all you need to do is open the cutout tree in photoshop or etc., select the white or black background, inverse selection and paint it all up with the opposite color and use it as the opacity map. Same technique goes well with the clouds as well. Hope i was helpful. Cheers, Kenan Avcı
