gofargogo
I've been a freelancer for a few years now, and I've gotten to the point where I need to start looking for others to help me with my (potential) workload. Other than the job board here, what resources do you use to find great 3D modelers? Any tips on working with a remote-freelancer? I've always been a 1-man shop, so this is a big and daunting step for me.
AubreyM
I have done work for other people and I can say that each and every one of them found me through forums like this. They got to know me and my work which I assume left them no surprises with the results. As far as "remote" goes, it is better if you can meet with the person but as long as you provide clear instructions/plans/resources it really doesn't matter where the person is. If you need someone fairly quick I would try asking a few of the people here who they have used and get some recommendations. I would beware of picking someone based on their website as I have come across a few who have images that they didn't make and you can't really tell what someone is like based on what they wrote on an ad or website. Nice to hear you are busy enough to need to sub contract. Good Luck!
