Larissa Holderness
Hello! 3DSM 2012 and VRay 2.10.01 I created ONE VRaySun in my scene and put it into a layer by itself. I noticed that every so often, there will be copies of the sun in my scene (4 - 5 copies). The suns are in the same spot as the original sun. I delete them, and BAM! They come back. I've even HID the sun and the same thing happens. Anyone else having a problem like this? Thanks! Vince Paske
Never had that problem. Are you accidently hitting ctrl-v with your sun selected?
Larissa Holderness
Not that I am aware of. I have frozen the layer ... and I am VERY careful on how I select things. It's just strange ..... ??
heni30
Just curious - so when an extra sun appears, does that double the brightness of your scene? Have you tried exporting everything to a fresh new scene? I've never heard of this happening. Contact vray perhaps? But at least a lot of sunshine is coming into your life. Larissa Holderness
Hi George - Everything in the scene looks fine with the extra suns. It's strange too ... I just created a completely NEW scene and there was a VRay sun in it already in a layer that had the name zz_ExteriorLighting. Which is how I name things. It's rather strange. The added sunshine is nice though.
Fooch
Was there a script used / copying etc .. We had issues with copitor doing that
Larissa Holderness
Nope. No scripts. It's just weird. I just saw that these new suns are not copies of the sun that I intentionally put in the scene. There values are set as the default values. It's driving me insane. neil poppleton
We had the same issue when merging objetcs into a scene, it also brought it a new sun......never fixed this, just always mindful it will happen.
