Easy question

Simple one for all of the Max legends: I'm almost embarrassed to ask it!

 

For reasons peculiar to me, I have switched off all keyboard input on MAX, preferring instead to drive by menu's etc. which, though obviously slower, works for me other than the few things I can't track down through the menu's.

 

The most annoying is the Z - zoom to selected, which is a big time saver through the keyboard but elusive through the menu's, is it track view something or other?

 

I can't find it, any suggestions?

In the bottom right of your max screen are a few shortcut keys. The furthest right and one up from the bottom is a zoom key. It looks like a viewport icon with a colored box in front of it. The green box is for zoom all selected and the grey box is for zoom all in scene. All you have to do is click it and your "z" shortcut is back in business.

I'm not sure if my replies are having to be moderated and are displaying late, but just in case here was my answer from this morning. Goto Customize UI, Menus tab, under the drop-down Main Menu Bar, add your zoom selected action to the View menu.
