grzegorzwronkowski
You can grab some of my free hdri maps - all of theme are 10.000px / 5.000px. If I find more time, I will upload some interiors too. You need to login to download them, because I didn't want anybody to hotlink my files from other sites. hyperfocaldesign
i'm new working with HDRI & can not find any free source with my search .... does anybody know where to find some free sky samples Hi Sima, We do a couple of free HDRI skies as well: http://www.hyperfocaldesign.com/free-hdri-sky And you can also download our new time-lapse HDRI sky domes here. There's 863 sample size frames and a full resolution 9500px one as well. RyderSK
http://www.viz-people.com/free-stuff - have to log in to download the free skies but they're awesome. Out of freebies, definitely Viz-People, for architectural purposes. Decent resolution for free version (8k), rather below average dynamic range though, bit strong color cast, I suggest desaturating ( but I suggest this to most HDRis). Though, architectural hemispherical HDRis go for 20-25 euros per piece, and you need around 6 of them to really accomodate every sort of lighthing. If you add up tweaking them (which most people ignore), such as blurring, gamma tweaking, and color toning, you can get infinite lighting solutions bespoke to your needs. grzegorzwronkowski
But you can't use Viz-people free hdris for commercial projects, anyway I did them for VP 2 years ago with my Samsung GX-20, now working on Ninon D800, and take more brackets with better lens + have more experience using hdris myself for rendering. RyderSK
Nice thing about them (VizPeople) is they still have the below horizon. I often need just bit of it but it's helpful when HDRis aren't strictly pure hemispherical.
landrvr1
Getting that free texture was really something of a chore. lol. Nice, though. Actually, what I got as 'free' ended up being a low res jpg. So....meh.
landrvr1
hyperfocal has set me up with the correct link so all is good. Looking at their offering, there's some really spectacular sunset skies that I'm going to have to purchase!

Hi Juraj, thanks for your suggestions! As I have never tweaked HDRI Maps before do you have any good advice how to start? Maybe even a good tutorial? Thanks!
