Harjeet Singh
is it possible to transform the mapping gizmo (uvw map) with help of modifiers like bend etc?. for example, i made a box and applied the box mapping. now if i apply the bend modifier, mapping also bends. I want to do same to the mapping gizmo without affecting the geometry. any ideas if it doesn't sound bizzarre !??
skogskalle
hmm... not sure about this... dont think you can apply a modifier directily to a mapping-gizmo. (atleast not in max 4.2 which I use). But maybe you can make temporary object, apply the uvw-map-gizmo of choice, apply a bend modifier to the object. Then select your actual model, and aquire the uvw-map from the first temp-object. ? Dont know if this will work but, if your lucky the "bent" uvw-map will transfer to your model. there was a plugin for MAX a couple of years ago, that did all sorts of things with uvw-gizmos... dont remember what it was called, but If I find out Ill post a link.
