external view looks sad

Hi, I just model a house in ACAD, then put in into max 6 + Vray 1.09 for some texturing and rendering. But the external view only looks good in ZOOM (details, bump...) and form camera view it looks sad, tasteless.

I put the render on here for some comments.

 

Glass material looks bad too, but i try so many things...

the black thing in the middle is a swimming pool, dont understand the material Looks terrifc in an another scene, and here... no comment.

 

Anyway, comments would be appreciated.

I believe the comp is what is bothering you. You see, on the close-up view you filled the space completely, giving room for the great detailing you have (like the curtains!). On the other hand,the "complete" view is lifeless, specially because of the environment, which is giving a relly artificial feel to the whole scene. As the house is white, I would use more saturated colors for bg (the green/light blue colors are killing it) and add stuff to the fg, such as pavement, plants, etc. Also, your horizon is "open" as we say here, i.e. it looks like the building is in the end of the world. You gotta give it some weight, anchor it to the world, "close" the horizon and you'll notice some major differences. The model is very good, details and all, that's why I think the composition is what's bothering you (IMHO).

I had more details, try to reconfigure the Vray mapping.

And and detail ont the back ground (hill, stone wall...)

But I still have probleme :

1- Some Squares appear in the reflection of windows. this is not JPEG COMPRESSION EFFECT.

2- Water of the swimming pool is better but far from perfect. need help.

3- I need to put a Tile roof, and a don't knw how to made it with Vray displacement Map, If anyone had a tut.

4- I'm adding trees and stuff into Photoshop. how can I render Windows only, but with the whole "house" in front. Like a Matte material.

5- Why can't I see the bump Map onto the Pavement ? in front of the house,

The bump map is a grayscale image at 100 and bump multiplier is 4.

I add some object, life and render it again.

some photshop adjustement (light, contrast, sky ....)

 

Still got probleme on windows reflections... any idea ??

Vray 1.09 + Irandiance map HIGH QUALITY,

Reflection material is a Vray mat white-grey color, no glossy.
