CEJ1976
Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knew how I can output my compositions from After Effects so that the time & frame count is displayed in one of the corners??? Thanks, Ciaran.
Nils Norgren
Hi Ciaran, It should be easier than it is, here is the down and dirty starting with the comp you want the time and frame count in: Composition -> new -> solid (any color will do, make it the same size as the comp) Effects -> Text -> Numbers (make it left justified, change the TYPE to timecode) - This is the easy one, For the frame count you need a few extra steps to make the # advance with each frame Effects -> Text -> Numbers (make it left justified, TYPE: numbers with leading zeros) Open the effect in the timeline, twirl down the "format" rollout, under the Value/Offset/Random, Control or Option click on the Stopwatch to enable an expression, in the expression panel paste this "timeToFrames(time)" (without the quotes). Change the size, color, position, #of leading 0's, etc. On the second "Numbers" effect be sure to check "composite on original" to keep both effects alive. hope this helps, Nils

Fooch
I might have an easier way ciaran, nils, Just go to text > timecode They have frames + timecode settings. Pop it over an adjustment layer
