sk101
Hi all, I am in the process of learning vray for sketchup as I have been a Sketchup user for many years. I am running into some sort of issue/conflict regarding light/sunlight on a floor element on an internal render (see attached). The vray material does not seem to render on the floor where potentially the SU sun is hitting/casting light, please also note the effect is the same if I delete the window elements so its not an issue regarding the glazing/window materials.. this is a test model to set up lighting only hence the lack of detail. Any advice would be much appreciated.
M V
Sorry this answer is coming in late. What type of color mapping are you using? Seems to me you are using HSV Expo. This color mapping preserves the Hue Sat Value of a material even when something like the very bright sun light hitting a floor is hitting it. I think most people stick to Reinhard and play with their camera exposures to reduce burned spots. Exponential color mapping might work also.
