josephs
I was following the first tutorial from "Architectural Rendering with 3ds Max and V-Ray" which was written using a fairly recent version of the software. The tutorial involves using a vray sun light to cast hard light into a room. So I have a version I made and the version supplied by the CD. Both have identical render and camera settings but one has hard light streaming through the window and the other doesn't. I'm sure that it's not to do with the render settings because I saved and reloaded the working settings into the broken file and it didn't change anything. Is there anything outside of render settings that would control this type of thing?
Bruce Hart
If you have a glass material there, make sure that "affect shadows" is turned on in the material ohterwise this will also block the sunlight Edited August 27, 2012 by Bruce Hart
