scostumatu
Hi there i just finished a high res render at 3000x1688... after 3 hours rendering and completed, i saw these defects? Anyone know what it is and how i could get rid of it? The materials themselves look fine - theyre both at 32 subdivs - basic reflection and IOR values.... Any assistance would be appreciated. Msamir
In the color mapping roll out try checking the subpixel mapping and clamp output and try rendering a region to see if thats causing these artifacts.
Stephen Thomas
I think you're going to need to up your image sampling settings. Can you post your current settings?

Q-Bix
If you are using vray sun making it 'invisible' can help remove these problems.
Stephen Thomas
Min/max values should be enough to sort it out if you lower the colour threshold too. Uncheck the use DMC box and try lowering the colour threshold to 0.002, see if that helps. You may need to increase the max value further. The other fixes suggested are also valid and can help with this problem too.
jonathanevans
It's probably Mazen's solution (clamp output and sub-pixel mapping), this has happened a lot in my renders and switching these on gets rid of the problem almost everytime. Another reason could be if you are using an HDRI in the render and the gamma value is too low causing wierd artifacts, but I doubt that's it.
