Help Rendering a huge image

Hi All,

I was hoping someone could give me some advice...

I'm working on a series of 3 visuals at the moment that will need to be produced for a hoarding roughly 2.5m high. I have spoken with the printer and our graphics team they recommend rendering the image to 8500pix high, meaning the image will be 72dpi.

I will be sending the renders out to a render farm, so not too concerned with render time however I don't want them to be crazy!!

I'm using Mental ray and will likely add a few passes, such as ZDepth, Lighting, AO and a reflections pass. So already adding to render time.

Should I set my Anti Alias to 1/16? or lower? Should I set my filter to Mitchell or will Triangle be sufficient (I usually use Mitchell for stills)

Any other tips?

Many thanks for any advice.

Cheers,

Adam
