cwx
Hi, I've tested some new renders with vray and is still encountering the same unrealistic problems. http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/1595/tester3.jpg http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/2317/tester4.jpg http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/6983/tester6.jpg Need some urgent help. Thanks.
salvador
Easy. There's no GI. Turn it on and make sure default lights are "off with GI" . Try creating a Vray sun with Vray Skt (accept the promt) and start testing. You seem to need a lot of reading about VRay en GI overall. Take your time and read. cwx
Thanks for your suggestion. It indeed got better. I had added in a few vray lights. However, my render time took from 5-10mins(before add in) to hours! How can I speed it up? Edited September 9, 2012 by cwx
cwx
Thanks for your suggestion. It indeed got better. I had added in a few vray lights. However, my render time took from 5-10mins(before add in) to hours! How can I speed it up? Now I have another problem. Some of my windows on the exterior turn black after rendering. Whereas when viewed in viewport, it's totally transparent! What is the cause of it?
Ismael
CWX, your best bet is to DO tutorials which are so plentiful all over the net and learn from them. Here is one "free" for interior at different hours of the day: http://www.cgcircuit.com/lessondetailcomplete.php?val=642 Just need to register for the full videos as described here: http://www.evermotion.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=92937
salvador
Yep. Agreed. You seem to want to jump from zero to hero overnight and it doesn't work that way. I could tell you how to speed up your test renders but I don't want you to take it as a rule of thumb. Read instead (and watch videos) instead. For starters, set you Irradiance Map preset to Low and set Hsph Subdivs. to 30 and Interp. Samples to 15. Set your Second render engine from Brute Force to Light cache, you can leave the defaults. This is only for test renders, for production you have to up the settings. For brightness, I suggest you create a Vray Physical camera and start with the defaults, then you can tweak f-stop, shutter speed and ISO up and down and see what happens. Baby steps bro (or sis?) you can't rush these things. Urgent won't help your work. Trust me, I know. These tips are only a bare scratch of what you can do about it, not even close to a workflow, bare this in mind. Good luck
