Sebastian Riel
I'm wanting to build a house without a basement. How deep does the foundation have to be ? It gets down to -40'c in the winter and +30'c in the summer. The house will be 36feet by 12 feet. What would the levels look like inside revit ? For e.g top of plate; first floor; top of foundation ? John Dollus
foundation must extend below the frost line to prevent heaving. It looks like that is 1.83 meters in Saskatoon but you will want to verify.

Frosty
You will want to consult both a geotechnical and a structural engineer, likely a requirement for a permit anyway. I have to say though, 12' is VERY narrow for a house and 432sf is pretty small for a detached house.
