dsp_418
I've a simple spline, extruded and then deformed via Path Deform (WSM). I'm getting geometry issues on the text: http://i.imgur.com/ZVuky.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Og4LF.jpg This is the best I could do using a bevel modifier instead of the extruder. Any idea how to fix it? Nic H
you need more subdivisions in your geometry.
dsp_418
Since it's an extruded text, what's the best method to subdivide it? Tesselate perhaps? edit: tesselate doesn't work. If to increase the subdivision you meant tweaking the interpolation value I already tried it with no better results. salvador
No, no, no. Apply an Editable Poly modifier, then weld your vertices with a very low treshold (0.001 or so) and then select all your polygons in Polygon subobject mode and click "retriangulate; deselect or go to top level mode and you should be ok. EDIT: Actually you can try skipping the weld vertices part if you want.
Peter M. Gruhn
I find it helpful to select vert pairs in strategic locations a "connect" them. Helps prevent max from deciding to run long tri in bad places. Subdivide or quadify might be useful, though i agree, retriangulate.
dsp_418
Wicked! actually adding a Edit Poly fixed the issue already, didn't need to do any other steps Thank you so much fellas.
