schmuhhh
Hello, I ve a problem with some shadows in my image. First of all the basic settings: 3Ds Max + Vray just one light: vray sunlight The Problem: As you can see in the image at number one, there is light in the corners of the small shelf although the shelf is embedded in the wall (two different geometries), so there can't be any space where the light could pass. At number two I generated a test cube which is also embedded in the wall, as the shelf at number one... so I get the same problem. Light at the right side of the cube from the upper and the lower edge. At number 3 I built a shelf with an own backside (one geometry, builded from one cube). So it is not located in the wall but a little bit in front. Here I get no problem - no light - in my shadow. At number 4 the same as at number 1. Does anybody know why I have these strange "glowing" edges in my shadows? Thanks a lot!!! salvador
So far, it's low GI solution / AA settings. Tra a region render with final production settings and see. Hope that's just it.
BrianKitts
those are light leaks from your light cache settings.....you need to use use/adjust the light cache retrace threshold. see example 4.... http://www.spot3d.com/vray/help/200R1/examples_lightcache.htm
