scostumatu
Hi all Im well aware of how to simulate a plane to resemble a towel - i simply just create the rectangle spline, add garment maker and then the cloth modifier. I then simply add the cotton property to the towel, add the collision objects and simulate away. Works everytime. Now I downloaded a piece of clothing from http://archive3d.net, i had to 'tesselate it' and then convert to editable poly as there didnt seem to be enough segments to it. However when i try and simulate it, it doesnt work, most of the time it actually freezes 3DS (using 3DS 2011) Anyone have any idea whats going wrong? Also, where would i be able to get great 3D clothing? THe ones on archive3d.net arent the best. Any help would be much appreciated.
meherthakker
I think tesselation could be the problem..maybe your vertices intersect each other on simulation and that could be the freezing problem. Why dont you turbosmooth your mesh and convert to editable poly and resimulate again..
