scostumatu
Hi all Sorry if this is a really dumb question. You know when you do a scene with vray sun/sky, the alpha channel is generated and you can mask that in photoshop and add another sky? Well i want to do the same, but with a HDRI. However no matter what i seem to do, i cannot create a vray element mask for the HDRI so i can remove it in photoshop to add my own sky... anyone have any ideas on how to achieve this? Thanks S
salvador
I can do it by mapping the HDRI to a Vray Dome light (used for lighting and reflections) and here I have two choices: one is to make the dome invisible and the other is to use camera clipping with a safe range between near and far clippings (to avoid actual clipping of the geometry). The background in both cases will come out black and easy to mask in PS. Good luck !
