CEJ1976
Hi, I was just wondering what antialiasing settings people use when rendering their animations out at 1280x720. I am trying to get a decent compromise between quality & speed, although I would prefer to just have the quality and wait for a better result. I generally use Adaptive Sub & Catmull rom, and although I generally like the result of Catmull rom it often sharpens the edges a bit too much which sometimes gives a bit of a 'jagged' edge. I just wanted to know what options some of you use? Cheers.
off the cuffe
I would only use catmull filter for still shots. Try using the quadric or sharp quadric filter. Also depending on objects in your scene I normally use adaptive sub of about -1/4 and the color threshold to about 0.006. Noise threshold of 0.005 and global subdivisions of 2.0 and 24(depending on your scene you can increase the setting to suit.
