chrismacswan
Hey everybody! First time posting here. My name is Chris and I'm an aspiring 3D artist based in Southern California. Most of the work posted here is very impressive. I have a question for the professionals out there. When you first start in Arch Viz (or interiors, or products, whichever), do you generally go out and get a full time position inhouse somewhere, or are most 3d Visualization jobs generally contracted out as freelance positions on a project-by-project basis? Thanks!
Scott Schroeder
It's easier for a new guy to get an in-house position rather than freelance. Simple due to the fact that you have no history and it's a leap for a client to trust that you will come through. I know it's a double edge blade in that you can't get experience until you work, but you can't work until you get experience. Either way, work on your portfolio and continue to hone your skills. That's the most important part.
Mario De Achadinha
Would suggest to work in house first, as scott suggested to get the experience.
