3dvizual
I have this render I am working on, but I can't seem to get the details in my carpet like I wan't. Can anyone please help me with some good settings for picking up these details. See image here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m47fzw2f41u78g9/test.jpg It is a 4500 pixels render I am running at the moment.
AubreyM
Two things off the top of my head would be turn on Detail enhancement and if you are using the Adaptive DMC then up the min to 4, so 4/10 for the min/max. Are you using vray displacement?
3dvizual
no I am using "hair and fur". I will try it out. Thanks.

Stephen Thomas
You also need to be careful that your irradiance map / light cache settings aren't blurring the detail too much (I'm assuming you're using this). I would try rendering a region using brute force. If it looks way better than your IR/LC solution then start there. This is a great tutorial I always refer to when setting up scene specific GI: Making sense of VRay Settings
