williamcai
Studio/Institution: StudyGenre: Residential ExteriorSoftware: Vray / Sketchup / 3dsmax / PhotoshopWebsite: http://williamycai.wordpress.comDescription: This is actually my very first attempt at trying to make an realistic architectural viz. I have some criticism myself actually about it, such as the dirt being a little too strong at the top.The "blinds" would be more realistic if it was curtain, and a lot of little things, but more importantly I feel I am missing something important. I am trying to convey the message that the place is not a scary place, even at night, and it becomes live and vibrant, but I do not think I have achieved it. Any thoughts? All comments welcome, and I would love some constructive criticism. Thank you!
Corey Beaulieu
There is always going to be things to work on. I think fior a first time out, you've done quite well. If I am grabbing two quick thoughts I'd say that the image results as too monotoned. The blue is a nice hit, but I want to see a range of orange|pink fading to blue. This could be don in post and likely very easily acheived with a nicer sky, but check out some "magic hour" photography, it usually has more color notes than you have going here. Yours sems a bit more into the evening. The second ould be general coment about your people. Not everyone should be blured the same and/or some not at all. You also have a few that are about to be fkilled by a car. Try to think about who would be where and doing what when placing people. It is hard to get right and opinions again differ, but less is usually more as long as they are well placed.
Francisco Penaloza
I agree with Corey comments, I also suggest if time permits, you should try to lower your camera and apply some camera correction to it, so you give more high to your buildings, make the image a little more dramatic, also if you are looking to give live to your scene, you need more colors in the side walk area, maybe the whole thing should have some light oranges colors yellow, white so it feel more like you can walk with no problems there, if the middle building is you main point of view try to expand your color gradients from there. The red car right on the middle I don't think is helping really, plus the pedestrians look like they will get run over in any second. If this is your first try, it is a very good one.
