Michael J. Brown
I just switched over to 3dsMax 2012 (from 2011) and noticed that I can no longer exit from my (edit poly) selection mode by just hitting a number key a second time. You know how you can just select an object that has the edit Poly modifier applied to it, then just type 1,2,3,4 or 5 to go straight into the vertice, edge, border, polygon or element selection mode? Well I'm used to being able to just hit the number key a second time to exit from selection mode alltogether. That toggle no longer works. I've gotta go and click on the selection button to de-toggle it. I'm assuming there is perhaps a line in some .ini file somewhere that just needs to be switched from 0 to 1 or vice-versa that will turn this toggle back on. Does anyone know what to switch to regain this functionality? Thanks
Scott Schroeder
I've never run into this issue, it toggles just fine for me in 2012. However..... Make sure you have you the keyboard toggle shortcut override off (it looks like a key with an "Up" arrow on it in your main toolbar). When I have that on, my toggle will turn on the selection but won't turn it off.
