fi3er
ahoj well, I have always wondered WHY ? WHY do NOT design/furniture/accesories/whatever firms/producers offer 3d models of their stuff online? I mean, it sure doesnt cost that much to pay someone to model their stuff. And I think, they miss their chances for new customers. I mean, when I design for ex. a flat/restaurant interior, I fill it with some furniture, clients likes the solution, starts the search for the furniture producer, buys furniture, cuz they liked the visualisations with the furniture, cash flows, everyones happy. what you think ? fi3er
Victor Erthal
Thet would be really great, but what happens is the oposite. Sometimes i have to model some furniture, and when i ask the manufacturer or the store if i can photograph and have some reference material to do the job... orangeno It seems like the design is a big secret... They dont see that 3d is a great form of advertising. [] Erthal

tcorbett
Probably the best example of this so far is Herman Miller (and maybe Knoll), only these companies deal primarily in office furniture. Something more common like an Ethan Allen i-drop feature would be a big help to those of us who need to model interiors.
