Chris MacDonald
You've rendered a room with no window, and added a background in photoshop...? How do you see the background if there is no window, then?
markrunza
sorry, the way i put it seemed stupid. I mean ive got a room with a window. it just has no glass in at the moment. Ive rendered out the room so that at the moment it has nothing outside the window at all. ive gone into photoshop and just placed a background layer underneathe so now i have an image outside. the problem is i want to add a glass pane into the scene so you can see the reflections of the room off it. im having trouble just being able to render the reflection so i can add it in photoshop
neil poppleton
Just render with and without glass and then play with both layers in photoshop.
Stephen Thomas
If you render with glass in place the alpha channel will preserve the reflections from the render allowing them to show over your background image. If you want more control over this then render out a reflection render element and screen or add it over the top of your background layer.
